Residential weekend rugby camps for Under 10s to Under 18s, running throughout the year
A weekend at Brunel University, Uxbridge, in a squad of your own age group, coached by the people who run our academy. Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, on the same pitches and in the same gym our full-time players use.
The younger groups are built around handling, movement and confidence, and they are unapologetically fun. The older groups are built around position, decision-making and the academy pathway, with video review and an individual report at the end. The coaching standard does not change between them. Only the content does.
Squads are capped, so a coach knows every player's name by Saturday morning.
Junior Camps are not a one-off. They run right through the year, so a player can come back each school holiday and pick up where the last camp left off rather than starting again.
Same coaches, same standard, a different focus each time. Places are capped to keep the coaching personal, which is why camps tend to fill within a fortnight of a date going out.
The main block, across the summer break. Residential, and the one most players travel for.
Spring holidays, ahead of the sevens circuit and the new age-grade season.
Half-term, mid-season, when players want contact time the club schedule does not give them.
A short half-term camp, usually the smallest squads and the most individual attention.
New camp dates are announced on our channels before they reach the website, and places move quickly. Follow us to see every release, or register your interest and we will email you the moment a date opens.
Coached, Not Supervised
“A camp is not childcare with a rugby ball. Every session is planned, every player is watched, and every one of them goes home having been told something specific about their own game.”
Every squad trains on the same weekend, in its own group, to a session plan written for that stage of a player's development.
School Years 4 to 5
Games-based from start to finish. The aim of the weekend is that they want to come back, and that they leave able to catch and pass under a bit of pressure.
School Years 6 to 7
The point where the core skills get properly coached rather than picked up. Still built around small-sided games, with more shape to them.
School Years 8 to 9
Preparation for junior rugby proper. Players start being coached in a position rather than everywhere, and contact is taught in detail.
School Years 10 to 11
The first camp where players are watched with the academy pathway in mind. Video analysis is introduced, and everyone leaves with written feedback.
School Years 12 to 13
Run as a pre-academy environment. The standard, the schedule and the honesty of the feedback are closer to the Full-Time Academy than to a holiday camp.
We will place them
Age groups run by school year, and players on a boundary are common. Put the closest one on the form and tell us the situation in the notes. We will confirm the right squad before you pay anything.
One fee covers the rugby, the facilities and, on a residential camp, the room and every meal.
Professional and academy coaches across the whole weekend, not students filling in.
The Brunel campus, including the indoor centre when the weather turns.
The bits players actually remember, and the paperwork parents want.
Not included: boots, gumshield and personal kit, travel to and from Brunel, and spending money.
Junior Camps normally run as a full residential weekend, and accommodation at Brunel University London is usually included in the camp fee rather than booked separately. Room, all meals and supervision from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.
Where a camp runs day-only, or you would rather your child came home each evening, say so on the application and we will confirm it that way. Nobody pays for a bed they are not using.
Sending a child away for a weekend is a bigger decision than booking a training session. Here is what you are agreeing to.
Every member of staff on site is DBS checked and safeguarding trained, and one of them has welfare as their only job for the weekend.

Junior Camps are hosted at Brunel University London in Uxbridge, West London. Twenty minutes from Heathrow, forty from central London, and on the tube map.

Getting There
Three steps, all on this site. Nothing is taken until we have confirmed a place.
Fill in the application form and choose the player's age group. It takes about three minutes, and it saves as you go if you need to come back to it.
We come back with the next camp date for that age group, whether it is residential or day-only, and exactly what the fee covers. Ask us anything before you commit.
Pay to confirm. Full refund if you cancel more than four weeks out, half within two to four weeks, and nothing inside two weeks.
Accommodation is normally part of the camp fee. If you are applying for a Full-Time Academy programme instead and need a room for the term, that is a separate application.
Squads are capped and camps sell out. Get the application in and we will hold a place while we confirm the details.
